My oldest daughter is seven today!
Seven years old.
I have been a mom for seven years....
Looking back it's been a rollercoaster adventure. The frustration of infertility, trusting God, pregnancy, moving back to my hometown, home ownership, baby 2, relationship ups and downs, health issues, financial strain, finding my Savior, finding the right church. Excitement, disabppointment, faith, understanding, loss and much more all in seven years. Watching her now and looking back, I don't think I'd change a thing. I'm learning from my mistakes, learning to rely on God, learning to love my spouse and myself unconditionally.
We took my oldest bowling for her birthday, she had a great time with her friends and family that came to share our celebration. Looking forward I cannot even imagine what the next seven years may bring. I certainly wouldn't have guessed correctly about these past seven years.
I do know that God is in control and I will remember to put my trust in Him.
Father God, Thank you for Katie- our beautiful child. Thank you for her health and for the challenges she may face that they to help her grow and the blessings she recieves that help her smile. Thank you God for your protection over her. Father God help her to be the salt and light of Jesus to the world. In Jesus name, Amen.
